Mostly used horizontally as a lightweight base for smaller fixtures. With a total height of 100mm, surface plate thickness is 10mm, which for stability reasons limits maximum width and length of these plates to 1600x2400. Grid 100 or according to customer request.
Are used vertically (recommended thickness minimum 300mm) or horizontally (recommended thickness 150mm). Two surface plates each 25mm thick are screwed and or glued together using aluminum tubes giving a very rigid structure. Due to materials used, plates do not need surface treatment and are corrosion free.
Suitable for sophisticated grid patterns, accuracy acc. to customers requirements.
Used as a base for mounting exchangeable work piece supports.

Used as a base for mounting exchangeable work piece supports.
These plates are also available anodized black.
Sandwich plates with hovercraft
Plates this size have to be handled and positioned in some way. This can be either using a crane and hooks or, more convenient and if the floor surface will allow, using hovercraft. The heavy duty air cushions can move over graps and ridges.
Witte supplies sandwich plates with:
- integrated air tanks - for movement without impeding hoses
- friction wheel drive
- remote control
